North Okanagan Shuswap Crime Stoppers (NOKS) is a not for profit crime fighting organization that relies on the support of the community and the generosity of supporters to continue our vital work.
Crime Stoppers is a program that empowers regular people to fight back against crime. Anyone can submit an anonymous tip by using our tips line or website; and if that tip leads to an arrest the individual will receive a reward for their efforts.
We don't need your name - we don't ask for ID. 100% anonymous.
Crime Stoppers operates in over 20 countries worldwide and since the very first program started in 1976, we have become the number one community based crime solving organization in the world. Our local Crime Stoppers has been stopping, solving and preventing crime in the North Okanagan Shuswap for over 28 years! Our vision is to reduce crime and make the North Okanagan Shuswap area a safer place.
Crime Stoppers is a world recognized program, locally operated by a volunteer civilian board.
The board is comprised of numerous volunteers that dedicate their time to the NOKS Crime Stoppers Society all while working in partnership with the local police force. Crime Stoppers Society volunteers assist with promotion and fundraising to pay for rewards and special projects.
Through Crime Stoppers, citizens are able to safely and anonymously report knowledge of criminal activity by calling our 1-800-222-TIPS(8477) phone line or visiting our secure online webtip submission form.
Tipsters providing information leading to an arrest or charges are eligible for a cash reward of up to $2,000 - thanks to fundraising and donations submitted to the Crime Stoppers Society.
Volunteers also play an integral role in Crime Stoppers: in committees, helping with projects, attending events, helping sell items or tickets, working on special events and providing person power or expertise.
